Very nice.
Here is my photo of the same aircraft - taken almost 2 years later:

I had to use a Fstop 1.8 35mm prime on my 7100 nikon.. the WW1 gallery is the hardest to photograph due to its extreme low light.
Cheers.

Very neat! I was working on a borrowed Nikon D40 that day. I just loved the natural angle of the Dr.I in the photo, even though it is slightly out of focus. I'm very much an amateur when it comes to photography. As you can see from my gallery, much of my work is aircraft profiles in Photoshop. I think this was my favorite photo from the trip was this one:

yea, i note your fstop is pretty high.. which means it requires 5-6x more light than what is available.. its ok if it was on a tripod but if you are hand holding it the exposure time required to keep it in focus is much longer. So any movement will result in an out of focus image. Your image was taken at 10/80 shutter. The shutter should be above your focal length or a blurry image will happen. To correct this lowering the Fstop setting in Aperture priority mode to as low the lens will allow, while compensating by increasing the iso manually to compensate until the shutter speed is above your focal length.
I found this out during my first trip at the museum with a fstop of 2.8 on 35mm-70mm. I did servicable; but didn't really get going until i bought the 35mm prime lens that could go down to 1.8.
Hope these tips will help.
All the best,
Spax
PS-
Love the B25 shot,
here is one of my favorites that i took at the ww1 gallery

Thanks! The Camel shot is very nice. I also like the P-40 and F-89 Scorpion images, as well.

Yeah, the random people in some shots can frustrate even the best photos.
