So I started watching the new She-Ra and The Princesses of Power show on Netflix the other day and I fully love it. It's so fun and fresh and modern and full of heart. Not to mention some really interesting character work, solid animation/action and a likeable, diverse cast with plenty of subtle representation that feels very natural. Highly recommended!

I've never had any connection to She-Ra or the He-Man MotU franchise. I'm a child of the 90s so I didn't grow up with it. Really I had no expectations based on any prior knowledge of these shows, but I saw the promo pictures and the trailers for the new one and I was really intrigued. I dug the aesthetic and it looked like it had some good action and story potential. Plus I've been a fan of Noelle Stevenson's work since she was a humble tumblr artist making silly comics back in 2012, and then with Nimona and Lumberjanes, so anything she has a hand in I am absolutely here for.
Honestly, kids and animation fans like me have it so good lately, ever since Adventure Time began cartoon creators have been completely killing it.
