Despite the enormous amount of liberties the Federation left to the UNI in the regions shared between humans and UNI,in some cases law must be applied to show that even if thousands of time smaller than a single UNI,a human can bring a UNI to the court and sometimes,sentence the UNI to pay entirely the damages she caused. One of the most recent cases is the one showed above.

Accused : Exerisia (UNI-EXE)

Offence : "Involontary'' Invasion of human territories on Fermi-116-Alpha,on planet Meyret I

Damage reported : Above one million casualities between Human and Phalai and the complete destruction of Meryet I capital main areas.

Cause of the disaster : A 2 minutes and 35 second walk on the north hemisphere continent.

Defence : Exerisia justified her actions as involontary,and and added she had to take a shortcut to arrive in time to an important UNI meeting. (Proven later to be just a date with her fiancee).

After a long trial the,UNI/human court has sentenced Exerisia to fully compensate the Federation for the damage it has suffered to the planet,in addition to a period of 5 years therapy with a Priestess to learn the importance of the alliance between UNI and humans and a period of 5 years as worker in a planetary mining complex on a system of her choice,but under the jurisdiction of the Federation.

The amount of damages Exerisia has to repay is of 91.530.000.000 Federative Credits to be paid in gold lingots or other resources of strategic value for the Federation.

As the reader can imagine,trials like this are really common in the shared territories between UNI and the Federation due to size differences. Clearly if the damages extend to entire planets or even the entire star system the UNI damaged,the UNI Empire has to repay the Federation or any other Empire who suffered damages with something of unmeasurable value. Sometimes entire star systems are literally used as payment methods,or in more rare cases,even the services of the criminal UNI for an enormous amount of time.

Rarest tho are the cases where a UNI is sentenced to go to jail. A very special jail.
