The Brillian Forge, a fortification card for my card game project. It’s getting fairly close to wrapping up so I guess I won’t jinx it too hard by letting the cat out of the bag. I hope. I think.
I’ve been working on developing a card game for a long time now but it’s only been within the last few years where I felt my art chops and design chops were lining up well enough to gel into a cohesive product. Strategic card games like Magic: the Gathering, Middle Earth by ICE, the Lord of the Rings TCG, and the World of Warcraft TCG, to name a few, have been a big part of my life’s gaming enjoyment and I always wanted to try my hand at crafting something on my own, top to bottom, designing and developing cards in a new universe fielding art that I’ve drawn on my own.
It’s been one of those bucket-list things that I’ve wanted to execute on for 20 years now and to be this close to actually finishing it is pretty exciting… Like, really exciting.
I’m still wrapping up the art, I have about 20 or 30 more pieces I’d like to finish up for the first small core set that I plan on releasing later this year, but yes, it’s getting pretty close. I’ll be posting updates in the coming weeks, things like card frames, general overview of the game, etc., as things ramp up and the game gets closer to being finished.
