Boone and Scenic Valley NW2 1003 is the main workhorse of the BSVY's excursion trains from Boone, Iowa to the small town of Fraser. 1003 was built as Grand Trunk Western 7914. She was then sold to the Chicago and Northwestern as their 1003. 1003 is wearing a beautifully painted Chicago Great Western inspired paint scheme.
