Finally, the completed version is ready for the world to see! For those of you who saw the WIP in my scrapbook, this is some eye candy indeed. I love the coloration and I especially like Zeratul's expression and the background (Shakuras is so pretty!!). This image is far from perfect, I realize, but if every piece of art was perfect, well then nothing would be all that unique
.Still, constructive criticism is more than welcome ^^.
This is Zeratul holding Raszagal as she dies quietly in his arms after he is forced to kill her to free her from Zerg influence.
Dialogue from the game:
Zeratul: "Damn you, Kerrigan, for what I must do!"
Raszagal: "Thank you, Zeratul... You have freed me from her vile control at last. You have always served me with honor... Thus I must ask you... to watch over my tribe... Into your hands I give the future."

It's perfect IMHO. I downloaded it because I wanted draw it too. I don't play in Starcraft but my bf yes and he make maps for this game what I like this. So.. draw more pictures, I will wait for new works

The background and Zeratul's expression are by far my favorite parts of this pic. They really capture the moment brilliantly.
The colors are way too bright on his armor, and his hands and Raszagal could use some work, but overall I really do like this piece.

Eh, I was a bit sorry about Raszagal when we needed to kill her :/ And actually it is really funny that up until that part in the game, there was not even one single female protoss (be it protoss or Dark templar) in the story, nor art from them, even in the manual x)
I wonder that there will be ever some ? (Except from the fan made ones ofc xD)

Well, now the female protoss are being mentioned a bit more. Selendis is a female, and she's the new Executor under Artanis.
If you read the DT saga, you'll also find another female protoss: Zamara. Others are mentioned, but not by name.
In the official manga, Frontlines, there are several females in the stories, for example: Lekila in the story of the twilight archon.
So yeah, I think that they're going to show up a bit more.

Actually the Dark Templar trilogy haven't been published in my country :/
Only 4 books from SC(Shadows of the Xel'Naga, Nova, Liberty's Crusade, Speed of Darkness) and no manga, Frontier or other stuff :/ So as you see I haven't able to get my hands on the good stuff yet
And as much of female Protoss I know only Selendris and Razsagal 
Actually I missed them from the regular zealot warrior groups 
Acutally I really love protoss

Protoss are my favorite race as well. They're graceful, beautiful, and harmonious with nature, yet incredibly powerful and technologically advanced. A true marvel.
It's so sad that the books haven't been published where you are! They're very good! I hope that you get them some day.

And the other thing I like in the protoss, that unlike elves they are not... well how should I put it ? Too thin like bone + arrogant like hell. Ok, there are ignorant and arrogant among protoss though

Yeah, there are arrogant and ignorant protoss, but there are also those who are amazingly kind and intelligent.

True true. Slender but muscular. A nice combination. Males are quite a bit more muscular, but still thin. Protoss have like, no body fat (which makes sense since they get energy from the stars and the sun)
In my opinion, the males have the most sexy shoulders and chests ever XD

Actually I really like slender figures, thats why I usually chose females as my models for my drawings
But still I'm really fond of the protoss male characters ^^

Ever since I was a little kid I always wanted to be another being, depended on the actual creature I wanted to be ^^
It was like: angels, protoss, some mythological creature (greek, egyptian, japanese), animal (like crow, wolf, hawk, ect.) sooo
Actually as you can see this idea is not too farfatched from me ^^

Yeah, I'm definitely a dreamer. Often times my wiring and drawing is a means through which I can outlet my creativity. If I don't do that I think I'd probably go crazy for realz XD

That dramatic moment in that story,
Zeratul forced to kill the Matriarch
he faithfully served.
However, I do remember that Zeratul killed
Raszagal when his attempt to warp out of Char
failed due to the quick attack by the Zerg.
Anyway, this deserves a fave.
Thanks for admiring that drawing Bleck
helped complement with the scene in that chapter
of my story. It is much appreciated.
As for this pic, it would be more impressive if it was
part of a comic strip pertaining to this sad traumatic moment. Other pics included might be Zeratul stabbing Raszagal, the conversation, and then the death.

The colors are a bit bright, but I'm working on toning down my color usage to try and make my stuff less cartoonish.
It takes practice, but I'll get there.

Unfortunately I'm still working on my drawings having an emotional depth, most of it is just mean looks or snarling glares...
It does take practice which takes time and patience...and I'm impatient -_- lol

I usually sketch my drawings on paper with pencil, then ink them and scan them into photoshop to color and edit.
