Deoxys fight from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire!
This is actually a redraw of well, the same exact thing but in lesser quality, and boy did I do a whole lot better this time around.
Shiny version, of course. Can't just draw the normal one without the shiny, now can I?

So, I wasn't planning on drawing this for a bit, actually, but I just didn't have it in me to work on more of my story or anything involving my own characters. Woke up this morning and opened my Google Doc for my story, but wound up just drawing this instead. Got the whole thing done in one day, surprisingly.

Man, I love this fight. It's probably my favorite Pokemon battle in the entire franchise. Sure the fight against the Primals was intense and moody with their theme reverting along with them, and the Ultra Necrozma fight was brutal and memorable, but this fight right here takes the cake. You take Rayquaza to space and destroy the meteor hurdling towards Hoenn, inside is a lone triangle that moves around in a geometric pattern, then the bells start to chime and an alien Pokemon flies at the screen. One meteor-filled screen transition later and you're fighting Deoxys above the Earth, sun rising in the background and nothing but space around you. It's just the absolute perfect setting, and the fact that you're going up against a Mythical Pokemon who hasn't been fightable since Fire Red and Leaf Green (with a neat triangle puzzle I might add) just makes it all the more special. What a fight.

Imma just get to the point: This looks amazing. I have no idea how I managed to get this entire piece done in less than a day. Kinda disappointing, actually, how (relatively) easy it is to just draw something that isn't involving my own characters or anything. Aside from that thoughtful little tidbit, I think I did so, so, good with this. Space looks space-y, the horizon is bright, the planet doesn't look janky like in the original, and Deoxys, oh man did Deoxys turn out wonderful. The shading on Deoxys was fun to do since I tried to get a more highlighted look considering the sunrise in the background, and I'd say I succeeded in getting the look I wanted.
The main reason I wanted to redraw this was mostly because I wanted to draw Deoxys lineless like all my other Pokemon art, since the original had lines. Wound up being one of the better redraws. I mean, just take a look between the two and you'll see just how much better this is.

Anywho, hope whoever's seeing this has a wonderful whenever they're seeing this!
