I went abroad over the holidays this year (my brother's studying in France, so the family took advantage), which meant I never quite managed to squeeze out any holiday cards. I hate that. However! There was Yuletart , my beloved multifandom fanart exchange, which had a very successful second year. Here's my submission. My recipient said she didn't just want a pinup style image, which suited me fine - I just can't stop thinking in panels, lately.

Yes, it's more bandom art. Fall Out Boy, this time.

In what is probably a high school AU, Pete (bassist and frontman) has done something to royally piss off Patrick (lead singer, also talented player of multiple instruments & producer for other bands). To apologize, he performs a serenade under Patrick's window. Unfortunately, Pete can't really sing or play acoustic guitar, much less write music . . . his heart's in the right place, though, and judging by Patrick's reaction, it's going to be all right.

I'm pretty damn happy with this. These guys are not easy to draw, but I think the likenesses worked out reasonably well, and I enjoyed the hell out of the shading, as usual. Wanted a silent piece but couldn't resist using those dratted emoticons - people did seem to like them, though.
