Thanks, James! That's over 80 pages of comic pages. My only regret is the dubious quality of those pages. Nonetheless, I have had considerable fun drawing and writing the story.

well as unsure of yourself as you may be along the way, I think when you look back, you will be forced to look at them as some purrdy durned good pages!

Yes but you've handled it well by giving them personality. That's what's so cool about this sort of thing...it's pretty much up to you. Oh yes...we won't go there in regard to the hole in the bottom!LOL

Thank you, Kevin. I sort of imagine my comics as cartoons, so sometimes I'll make the panels look like a rapid succession of images, like animation cels in a cartoon.

wow, I totally didn;t expect that myself.
I love how the other prisoner is the big burly sensetive type.
What was Opey going to say .. I can't tell.

The convict is a leftover from back when the school functioned as a prison. He now performs several tasks for the school, such as custodial work, functioning as the lunchlady, and acting as the school's nurse. I guess he's never broken from the prisoner mentality.
It seems Opey was about to tell Aria that he loved her (having a boyish crush on her after she gave him a valentine).

Nice finish to the issue. I finally was able to download the page and see the small details on here.
What size do you draw these at originally?

cluedog In reply to dragyourblood [2008-09-29 01:06:50 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I usually draw the pages at 10" x 15", then reduce them to a size where they can viewed on DA at a high resolution. That size, the comic industry standard, allows me to draw a lot of detail.

Thanky! In the next few months, I'm actually going to create a collection of the first three issues and it will probably contain a bonus story (seen only in the graphic novel).
