ive been in a relationship with a wonderful person for the past year and there's a little bit of distance but nothing insurmountable. it had been a very long time since any previous relationships and those were poisonous and ended poorly. it instilled some rather vicious trust issues in me.
this past year has been a serious test to overcome those issues, entirely within my own mind, but im happy to say.. i think im more or less past it. This comic says an awful lot in a very small space. thanks for drawing it.

I go to college in California while my girlfriend goes to college in Pennsylvania. This piece struck a cord with me when I saw it and my girlfriend when I sent it to her. It fits us perfectly. Thank you so much, Bat. This is so beautiful and moving. We love it.

Yes, yes, and yes. I could never get ex to understand this very point, and... Well... A part of why we are ex now. Of course, being in a relationship with someone you are on the same page with helps A LOT, ahahahah. But this little piece... Says what all relationships should be at their core: you are best friends as well as "friends with benefits" in the best of relationships.

That's something I've never thought about until my girlfriend and I decided to be in an open relationship. Since then, communication has never been better between us, and our love is stronger than ever. Complete freedom of choice and action is a hard choice to make, but it is the BEST.
