Description The over-exposure of sunlight on her tail at ISO 3200 gives us an "almost" look at her wings. Selasphorus sasin (Allen's Hummingbird) sub-adult female. Note the compact shape and orange flanks, and relatively long bill. Slightly smaller than Rufus, and nearly indistinguishable, but for over a thousand exposures that I have studied of her which I am taking as fast as I can, as the flower she drinks from will soon be gone.
