Description Poor MarigoldLion cub -- he just doesn't fit in amongst all the DandeLions.

This was just a totally random thing that I doodled to distract myself from another, larger project. This is meant to be just for fun --sketchy and quick-- so I didn't bother paying attention to anatomy or realism or anything important like that. And the marigolds in my garden have always reminded me of lion manes for some reason, so I couldn't help but draw it.

I think the mane is very well done. The subtle tonal changes and shadowing really work well to emphasize the marigold portion of the concept. I think the rest of the anatomy is fairly well done as well, each element is proportional and seems realistically correct in terms of size.
