Description This portrait really worked out well and It was a joy to work on.
Usually I do not like the final stage of making hair. But on this one I really enjoyed it.
Hope you like it.

Great work Tim! She has a lot of life in her face. You've gotten a lot better since last time I checked out your art.

Hair is often best kept to it's simplest forms. Total realism of it can actually draw attention away from the character.... a good judgement call as I think she looks perfect!!

Really lovely work on this. I wish I could sculpt like you. How big is this and are you going to be putting the back of the head on her?

Thanks!
This sculpture is a full size 1:1 scale.
I'm not going to put the back of the head on her. I do like the question though. It proves that my work feels different in a way.
For the moment, I'm only focusing on the most important part of a human being, the face. So, that's the only thing I want to show in my portraits.

I agree. Hair is a pain in the ass to sculpt but is so fulfilling when you know you've captured it well.
