The young man looked at the woman beside him. "I don't know what you're talking about." He opened the large doors in front of them and held it open for her as she brushed his arm.

She stopped and leaned closer to him. "I found your costume Edgeworth. And I thought you should know that I'll be your Pink Princess at this "prosecutor's convention". Does that sound good?"

Shivers went down her spine as she remembered the feeling of his fingers caressing her face the last time they spoke. She ran the brush through her hair as she forced back tears. "Your lady is trying to be strong," she murmured as she heard rustling through the Khushrenada mansion. "You left me with so many unanswered questions. I don't see how I'm supposed to handle all of this." She reached for her glasses to her right. "I do hope your death was not in vain my love." She threw the wire frames to the ground and smashed the glass beneath her heeled foot.

Wind blew her hair back as they sped through the streets. "Where do you want to go?" he asked as he threw his arm around her shoulder. She shrugged him off.

"Just take me home, Diego." She was sick of his antics that night. Not only had their date been ruined by a past flame, but they had spoken so long that he had forgotten about her sitting right across from him.

"Mia," he pleaded, leaning over as they reached a red light. "You know she means nothing. You know you're everything to me." He planted a kiss on her lips and she returned.

"God, I'm a terrible liar," she hummed against his lips as they continued to kiss. The light changed as car horns blared behind them. She reluctantly pulled away as Diego sped away and headed down a deserted road.

"This is childish," he kicked at the dirt at the edge of the swing set. The moon shone off her golden locks. He knew there was a chance of being seen here, but she didn't seem to care.

"Spike Spiegel, live a little." His lover sat on the black rubber swing and pushed herself off the ground; her legs pumping to get her higher. "Come push me."

Her blue eyes sparkled playfully. He couldn't resist any longer. He dropped the cigarette butt from his mouth and joined her. "We could be seen," he grunted as he placed his hands on the small of her back and pushed.

She dropped her feet and dragged them along the sand. "Swinging is not a big deal." She jumped off and reached for the collar of his jacket. "This may be though," she pulled him on top of her as she fell to her back and kissed him deeply.

He ran, harder and faster the further he got from the complex. Months after months of drug testing, months of thinking. He had had enough.

It wasn't him. It couldn't have been him. He reached a deserted spaceship hanger and climbed in through the broken window; the glass ripping the fabric at his chest. He felt a sharp pain in the breasts the drugs had formed and he cringed. He hadn't quite gotten used to having the breasts of a woman.

He toppled in and feel to the cement ground below him. His violet hair clung to his face, sticky with sweat. Unfortunately, all of this could have been avoided if he had just stayed away from a man they called Vicious.

Red LED number flashed to the time of a steady beep. He fumbled around to find the plastic box and slammed his hand on the largest button. The clock silenced itself as he continued to reach around the bedside table. His hands landed on a visor and he placed it against his face.

Suddenly everything in his room was visible again. The black sheets he laid on. The closed curtains over his windows. The framed photo of a tall slender brunette. He couldn't take his eyes off of the photo as he climbed out of bed.

"Good morning Kitten."

She circled her finger around the rim of her glass. "How long did you say you had?" She tried not to look into his eyes. She had a sinking feeling that this would be the last time she saw him, but she didn't want to think of her last moments with him like this.

"I leave within the hour Lady," he rose his glass to his lips and took a sip of the red wine within it. He saw her look up, as if to speak. "This mission is too dangerous My Lady. You cannot join me." He saw the disappointment in her face. She stopped playing with her glass. Treize reached for her hand. "Une, if I do not come back, please know that my biggest regret is this."
