You've decided to start out slow rather than exhaust yourself too early, and have opted to walk for the first stretch of your journey. You follow a well-known path away from your village, until finally you reach the borders of your peoples' territory. From here forward, there is no set path to take, and you must choose wisely how you will proceed.

As you cross the border, you see an old wooden sign. One way points East to the river, while the other points straight ahead, North into the thick of a pine forest.

There's no time to waste! Though you've already been walking for well over an hour to reach the end of your tribe's territory, now is not the time to rest. You pluck up your energy and continue your walk forward into the woods, eager to find and meet your friend.
