First she was warned by her old, dead business partner, Jacob Barley.
Then she was visited by three spirits; the Spirit of Hearth's Warming Pageantry, Spirit of Hearth's Warming Presents, and finally the Zombie Ghost who mostly shuffle-hovered around trying to each her brains, but failing because it was a ghost.
In the end, she learned the true meaning of Hearth's Warming. Always pay your Ghostbusters in full!

Strangely enough, the Ghostbusters cartoon had an episode where the gang saved an old man from ghosts, only to discover the old man was Scrooge and that they had destroyed Christmas in the future.

They also had an episode where they stop Cthulhu by reading pulp stories and meeting up with a list of subtle name drops related to the authors of the Cthulhu Mythos (Derleth, Robert E. Howard, Kline, etc.).
