Description Yet again with my prehistoric mammal obsession... This is Miacis, one of the earliest carnivorous mammals known. It's like a weasel-cat-dog-civet-thing.

Name:
Miacis (Greek for "mother animal"); pronounced me-ASS-iss

Habitat:
Woodlands of Europe

Historical Epoch:
Late Paleocene (55 million years ago)

Miacis is an extinct genus of mammals that appeared in the late Paleocene (ca. 60-55 million years ago) that are mammals of the family Miacidae, superfamily Miacoidea. They are representative of the group of early carnivores that were the ancestors of the modern Order Carnivora, This genus likely gave rise to all modern carnivores. COooooooool.

I need to think of a good name for him.

Why is everything you draw so damn awesome? You deserve to be the next Vaporotem.

Because unlike her you actually put effort into your art.
