Apologies for the weird handwriting at the top. When I was checking her name, I noticed that I had misspelled it, so I tried to fix it accordingly.

Lately, I've been working on editing my current pony ocs, properly designing them, designing G3 ponies into Gen 4 (I redrew my concept for Star Catcher, which I will be posting), and also drawing other creatures in MLP. I've found the changeling race to be quite interesting, especially with how they reformed and evolved in the Season 6 finale, and though I'm not used to their coloring yet, I decided to make a Changeling OC to test drawing them and working with the colors. Her coloring was inspired by a sunrise, but a sunset could also work as well.

Lycaenidae is a recently reformed changeling hailing from the Changeling Kingdom with a bright curiosity of the world and the creatures within it. Up unti Queen Chrysalis was dethroned and Thorax rose to becoming the new king of the Changelings, Lycaenidae had never really stepped out of the Changeling Kingdom unless she was ordered to and obediently listened to Chrysalis' orders and acted in interest of the hive. She's glad to broaden her horizons under the rule of Thorax and not painfully live in a state where she's starving of love and not having as much care of other members of the hive.

Lycaenidae is inquisitive, adventurous and enjoys broadening her horizons and worldview. Due to not being adjusted to her bright new form and the fact Changelings have a little more acceptance in Equestrian society, Lyca stil disguises herself into other forms when visiting new places--even places she knows--as a precaution for her safety. She's less nervous to show her true colors in Ponyville due to the mostly-accepting nature of its inhabitants, but she still has doubts of whether or not ponies are able to accept changelings with what they have done before Thorax took the throne.

Lyca had issues opening up to other creatures that aren't Changelings. She's skiled at maintaining disguises and blending in, but very bad at being herself in public. She knows there is still judgment against her kind, especially in places like Canterlot (and perhaps the Crystal Empire to a lesser extent). She's afraid the negativity will create an automatically bad perception of her, which she doesn't want.

Lycaenidae admires Starlight Glimmer, Trixie Lulamoon, Discord and Thorax for what they did for the Changeling Kingdom, even if she's not adjusted to the change, as well as the help they provided to Equestria when Chrysalis attempted to take over by having her people pose as important and beloved figures and captured the real ones. They changed society and dethroned Queen Chrysalis, who had kept an iron hoof on her Kingdom and didn't allow the changelings to have individuality, acting under the hive and under her. She knows that King Thorax isn't fully adjusted to ruling, but Lycaenidae has patience with him and appreciates how he's ruling the hive and teaching them the good of friendship. She's still afraid of Chrysalis returning and reclaiming the throne.
