Ahh, the forests of Twistoult are so relaxing! So relaxing that you seem to have wandered off the path. What do you find? First challenge illustration for Kiya ([link] ), who is still in juvenile plumage.

Kiya prefers the blazing sun and open horizon of the desert but on the occasion she feels like an afternoon in the shade, she heads for the Twistoult region of Windsonde. Her favorite location is one particularly beautiful waterfall. She was reclining near the upper stream banks one afternoon when she saw a delicious elaeis palm nut float past. Kiya immediately decided it would make the perfect afternoon snack; the succulent fruit-flesh is the one herbivorous food she couldn't resist. Before she could figure out how to snatch it (she absolutely loathes getting wet), the palm nut tumbled over the falls. Kiya hurriedly scuttled down a fallen log. The red fruit was bobbing in an eddy just beyond the reach of her talons. Perched on the wet wood, she stretched farther...farther...

Unfortunately, the wood was slipperier than she anticipated, and she spent the rest of the afternoon drying her feathers:
