Those of you who read my journal know I was having a bit of an emotional crisis recently. And I was thinking about the things that have influenced me and my art and I realised something.
I have watched *SonicRocksMySocks , aka Miss Kylee Henke, since I was in middle school. That's the better part of a decade. I mean, I'm a sophomore in college and I first became aware of who she was when I was in seventh grade. That's age thirteen, to age twenty-one (almost). It began when ~78sweets showed me the Worm Song after I had a bad day at school, and since then I've been watching her. I remember when she freaked out after getting 400 watchers, and now the girl has over fifteen thousand. She has two million page views, and I remember when she'd barely broken a few thousand. I enjoyed her every deviation, even when I didn't comment. I loved her sense of humor and was envious of her versatility. I remember when she was nervous about graduating high school, and I wasn't in that boat too long ago myself.
I know it can come off as creepy and stalker-ish since I've never spoken with her, but I admire her. She's an amazingly talented young woman, and maybe if I ever get to go a west coast con I might get the wonderful opportunity to meet her.
