Oh, very nice. I like the crosshatch pattern you use for the shading. And yeah, I love using a mechanical pencil, too, for all the reasons you said above. lol
But yes, you really captured them both. I love Uhura's expression, particularly.

Thanks!! It's hard to shade with mechanical pencil because you can't use the side of the pencil - quite frustrating when you've got a lot of paper to cover darkly - but overall, I prefer mechanical pencil.

Isn't it just sickening that you can pay through the nose for a 'good' set of pencils but still do amazing work with a cheap mechanical? I do it all the time, I'd laugh if my wallet wasn't wheezing!

haha - yes, I know exactly what you mean. I have a whole nice set of drawing pencils, but I only use my mechanical pencil. It doesn't get dull, it's easy to use, and you don't have twenty of them for each shade.
