"The ancients of Tabareen didn't bury their dead but instead carried them to the highest peak of the Luvren mountain range where their bodies would be placed in a temple suspended mid air that served as dwelling place for spiritual leaders, conduits for the dead. The temples transported the souls entombed in her bowels to the after life, their final resting place." This is a personal matte painting I had a great time creating. My goal was to do a matte painting and piece that is out of my comfort zone with a fantasy theme instead of sci-fi. I really wanted to push my 3D skills and it was a great learning curve but very rewarding. Enjoy
