Info: After her parents died on the day Shiganshina fell, her older brother Roman was the only one left to look after her. She kept close to her brother, never leaving his side for she was afraid of losing him too. It was a struggle for the both of them as the food supply was shortening and they didn't have a place to sleep. Luckily for them, a kind old woman gladly took them into her home. They lived there in poverty, eating what they could and watching over each other. Then one day, Roman decided to join the Recon corps. Aurora was against his decision, begging him to stay so he won't get hurt or worse. Roman smiled and ruffled the girl's hair, telling her not to worry and to have faith in his strength. He said that in order to insure her own safety, to avenge their parents deaths, and for a better future that he had to fight. Aurora still wasn't happy but nonetheless supported her older sibling. When he left it was just her and the old woman. The woman did provide Aurora company but she still felt lonely.

When the walls were once again invaded, she and the old woman evacuated safely behind the inner walls. She worried about her brother, she couldn't help but think what if he's hurt? What if he's being eaten by a titan right now? She promised to have faith in him but she couldn't help but have doubts. She waited for hours among a crowd, waiting for her brother to return. To her relief Roman came out alive and in one piece.

After Roman had finished his mission with the Legion, Aurora's curiosity got the better of her. She scaled the walls to see what's happening on the other side. Unfortunately she had lost her footing and she fell on the other side of the wall. She was trapped with the Titans that still roamed the streets. A titan had witnessed this and gave chase, gaining on her. Another Titan was approaching, they had her pinned. Just as she thought it was over, Roman swooped in with his 3D maneuver gear, carrying her away to safety. They landed on a roof top only to be apprehended by more Titans. There were Titans on all sides, he couldn't take them all down by himself, not unless he use his recently discovered ability. He hesitated, realizing that Aurora was there but he had no other options. If he didn't do something quick, he and his sister were going to be Titan chowder. He unwrapped the gauze that covered his entire left arm and with a deep breath stabbed himself on the arm. In a flash Roman was no longer human, he was now a 17 meter titan with bones jutting out from his left arm. Aurora gasped in shock, watching as her brother viciously teared away at the other Titans, cutting off their limbs and smashing their heads. Once all of them were defeated, Roman turned to Aurora who was frozen with fear. Roman lowered his right hand for Aurora. She cautiously climbed on and then she was raised so she was eye level with Roman. She was still afraid but then looked into this Titan's eyes. She could see that even though he was now in the form of a Titan, inside he was still her brother.
