Aww, thanks. I couldn't tell you for sure how long it took though, probably somewhere in the 20-30 hour range.

Such a whimsical scene! The environment compliments all those characters so nicely, and I enjoy the subdued colors. And those textures, wow. Everything looks so tangible. Some of that forest imagery is a bit spooky (I swear that tree on the right looks like a skull), but the very relaxed pokemon give it a heartwarming contrast.

Thanks man. A little bit of spook is always good, to me at least. As long as it isn't doesn't enter the realms of 2spooky.

thanks bud, glad to hear it.
To answer your other post, photoshop cs6 was used for this one and most of my other recent work. I like paint tool SAI as well, but right now my preference is good ol photoshop.

What's the bug-type in the background? Is it that weird new one?

I guess it could be any of the butterfly-ish ones. Good old butterfree was the one I was thinking about though.

No problem! And I have to say that I really like the way you've drawn Krookodile and Flygon's wings! A great twist~
Eh hehe.... Now I'm not so tired methinks there be an American shield of sorts in the water that may or may not belong to a Captain XD
