This was my third entry at the BMFAC 2011 contest !Nautilus - 75x100 cm
Well, i'm a bit sad none of entries were selected for the exhibit of the contest, but i think i've too work harder next timeβ¦

My entries were done to show a lot of details and maybe i haven't done a good job enough in the composition of the frame and the colors. Thank you for taking time commenting here, it's good for me when people help me to improve my art as it seems none of the contest reviewed my works.

From the distinctive and often illustrative (as opposed to pure "design") fractal styles displayed by the Winners, as well as the Selection Criteria in the contest's Rules (. . . "We want to show diversity of fractal styles. We want to show diversity of colors. . . ") I think perhaps, instead of beautiful flowing fractals like those you entered, they were looking more for works like your "Ghosting" fractal [link] Just a thought
