And hailing from a very popular PS2-3 action/adventure game series inspired by Greek myths....this red-warscarred dual-bladed merc should be second nature to gamers the world over!

Once a captain in the Spartan army (revealed in the game through flashbacks), and a fierce warrior, he's led his army to numerous victories, until finally overmatched & overpowered by an invading barbaria horde. Outnumbered and on the verge of being annihilated by the Barbarian King, he miraculously turned to Ares (the God of War). Holding a firm promise to serve Ares, he'd spare the Spartans and provide boundless power to once and for all wipe out their adversaries.

Bio aside, let's all give a Spartan welcome for the Olympian warrior representing the Greek Gods...move over Leonidas, here comes KRATOS!
