one of my friends usually draws and/or writes poems when she's high on weed. some of her friends smoke weed for some reason. and the results is usually epic (the drawings & poems, I mean, not the weed thing).

#1: I tend to get random ideas myself but mostly through inspirations or "must do so" moments.
#2: I also tend to get annoyed by cliches as well but I am fine with most of them most of the time. What mostly disturbs me in terms of clicheness has something to do with Anime/Manga or Video Games like in Kingdom Hearts where many fans created sort of cliche characters that are original but not original at the same time like Sora the protagonist having a sister which he doesn't at all (without Sora, this sister thing will not exist in the first place), having a completely original character but stays with Sora and facing whatever Sora faces and having the same weapon and lacking original story and many more.
#3: I hardly feel this way as I don't really like to show off nowadays compared to my childhood and pre-teen years.
#4: I am tone deaf and am bad at dancing so I kind of avoid this to avoid embarrassment.

now that is another thing, that's sort of plagiarism/copying, but you're talking about the cliches of the people making OCs based on their favorite characters. they are indeed annoying.
