On March 24th 2020 my aunt called me, her 11 year old cat Viivi had just had 3 kittens.

I remember when Viivi was a kitten. I was 10 years old and all I wanted was a pet to take care of and keep me company. A kitten was my biggest dream.
My family was visiting my aunt, and Viivi had just had her first litter. She was barely a year old then, but she took very good care of her 4 kittens.
I begged my parents to bring one of the kittens home with us, any of them I would be happy with. There were 2 grey and white kittens, one completely
grey and one pitch black kitten. Secretly she was my favorite.

My grandma ended up with the black kitten. She was named Eveliina, and she's the big sister of Doppio and Chen with a 10 year age gap.

I didn't get to go home with a kitten back then, but who would have thought that 10 years later, I'd get to have two of Viivi's kittens? What are the odds?

Sadly Viivi died shortly after the kittens were weaned. They were 4 weeks old at the time, and haven't learned basic cat behavior yet. They didn't know
how to use a litter box, how to clean themselves, how to eat solid food properly. How to be a cat essentially. The girls would stay with their brother for one more
month before I brought them home. I was going to be their mama now, and I would teach them all the things that Viivi couldn't.

It's been a tough journey, some days were harder than others. Especially Chen had lots of trouble. She didn't learn how to eat properly after months of living with me.
She still struggles with the litterbox sometimes. She knows how to use it, but she's very messy and doesn't clean herself after.
Doppio also has her own set of behavior problems, likely because of loosing her mother at an early age.

But I don't mind. I'm just happy that my childhood dream came true, even though it took some time. I wouldn't change these cats for anything.

And with that I want to say happy birthday to Doppio and Chen! They're my dear little fur babies and they mean the world to me

Doppio has a mole on her chin and wears longer socks. Her hair is thicker but shorter than her sister's.
Chen's socks are rolled down to represent her small white socks on her paws. She also has an ahoge sticking out her hair lol.
