Description
I made this for 's April Pokemon of the month, Buneary! Super cute, and perfect for Easter/Spring celebrations.
Buneary is made from Super Sculpey over aluminum foil, painted with acrylics, and sealed with a satin glaze.

if you use aluminum foil over it, can you bake it? im just starting to make figures out of sculptey III.

aluminium foil is 100% oven friendly. It makes a great armature to keep the figures light.

aww cute! how did u get it to be so smooth tho? I use the same clay and I can't get it smooth all over to save my life

It takes a lot of time, patience and practice! Do you use Sculpey Firm?

I have only tried Studio Sculpey and Original Sculpey but I recently bought Sculpey III

I haven't tried Sculpey III or Studio Sculpey, but I personally find that Sculpey Firm is very forgiving, as in you can handle it and not leave too many marks... I also recommend using your fingers/tools to smooth it, using isopropyl alcohol (over 90%) before you bake, and if you paint, to do thin coats.

Thanks! and yeppers, the foil is inside, it's like an armature, it helps keep the sculpture light and makes it easier to bake.
