So, this picture is kind of a combo of Distant Journey and one of my first illustrations posted here on dA, Wind . Despite some flaws I couldn't figure out how to rectify, I really like this one. Hair is so much fun! XD

I'm currently experimenting with using Manga Studio for illustrations and not just comic pages, so when I decided to post this picture here, I brought it up in MS and got to work. It was pretty quick, only a few hours from sketch to finished image, and although some parts were difficult and I haven't figured out how to use the brushes to their full effects, I must say, I don't think I've ever has so much fun shading hair. The smooth brushes are fantastic for the hair-shading style I use. Hair is perhaps my favorite part of drawing and coloring, especially wind-swept hair (in case you can't tell XD), so being able to make Ariana's hair look so beautiful is definitely a major plus for MS. ^^

Besides that, there are other things I like about the shading, though it is a bit more difficult that Photoshop (though that might be due to my being used to PS), and I haven't experimented much in making textures. In PS, I used specific brushes when shading clothes to give a slightly different texture to my clothes compared to skin and other specific brushes when shading hair. I have not explored that much yet, but I'm certainly happy so far. X3
