Description
Since the end of 2015, I've been working on-and-off on a children's fantasy novel I drafted for a class. It's currently on hold while I practice writing better sentences, but here's a concept sketch of the main character, Eibhlin (pronounced "Eve-lin" or "A-blin," depending on the person, I prefer the first). I did this really quickly while researching for a paper discussing Kierkegaard's knight of faith in relation to Dante's Divine Comedy and the medieval chivalric tradition. As such, it's a really rough sketch, but it's the one where I've most closely captured how I think of Eibhlin's appearance: not especially attractive in any one aspect, but overall appealing when brought together. Not that this is official. I've debated whether or not I would want to illustrate the book, but I'm thinking "no," to avoid people thinking my designs and appearance interpretations as "official" and so stifling imaginative input. Well, not that all this thought is all that important right now, considering the stasis the book is in right now. =_=
