I've always sort of seen Shizuo as a stray dog himself. I can't really explain why (but it makes a lot more sense when you consider Izaya a cat, with his narrow eyes and wicked smile). So I found this scene to be particularly adorable xD I thought maybe the dog was mimicking Shizuo.
