this is what happens when I read too much Negima and then watch sexy FLCL AMVs . Shame on me.that guitar took as long to draw as the entire rest of the picture X.x and it still looks like crap. I don't know how to shade guitars properly.
Even though I didn't end up using them on this one, ~Nocturnal-Albino taught me to load brushes in PS!! She tried to teach me to make them but my comp was being irksome and wouldn't let me T-T.
and I just realized how long I've spent on this O.o a lot longer than I thought it was. I think it paid off, though.
oh, and the Japanese is:

descending on right: Haruhara Haruko
(yay I learned the kanji for young!)

Whatever you say, its really good! Just one thing (really sorry and I can't do anywhere near as good) is her left arm (our right) slightly, maybe strange?

yeah, her left arm kinda...blahed out on me. I'm not sure where it went. But when I tried to put it in - like, her elbow behind the head of the guitar - it looked even worse. So it stayed blahed out XD maybe I'll try again later.

backgrounds always give me trouble ^-^;; I had more in the background before, but it looked cluttered and drew the eye away from Haruko, so I cut out almost all of it. I'm thinking of doing another version of this with a different feel to it, though; actually completing the background so she's standing somewhere instead of just in the void.
