hHHH I WANTED TO DRAW COTTON ;n;;; but I couldn't think of anything cute so instead I drew Red ;w;; (I'll be drawing him either later today or tomorrow tho-- even if it's just a cheeb--)
also sidenote: I thought of a cute nickname for Red to call Cotton and you can't stop me-- (ye,, it's the title lmao)

Cotton was woken by a gentle poke on the shoulder. Rather, he was woken by the sixth poke on the shoulder - but it continued on even then,
"What?" he groaned, rubbing at his eyes and turning over. When he lowered his hand he blinked a few times, then rubbed his eyes again, "What are you doing..?" he asked.
"Morning, teddy bear." Red smiled and sunk into his shoulders slightly, "Sleep ok?"
"Fine." Cotton nodded and looked up at Red again, "Are you wearing cat ears..?" he asked and propped himself up with one elbow. Red nuzzled him,
"Yeah. I make cute cat, right?" he asked, flopping down beside Cotton and curling up against him, "I couldn't get you a real one, so I thought this was the next best thing." he explained, pushing himself backwards into Cotton's stomach.
Cotton laughed, "So, what? Am I meant to pat your head now?" he asked, placing a hand onto Red's hair anyway and ruffling it with his fingers.
"You could feed me." Red suggested, "Kitty's hungry." he lowered his eyelashes and smiled,
"Kitty's always hungry." Cotton shrugged, "I think he should go have a run around."
"I think he wants to play with a ball."
".. Has kitty been around any catnip?" Cotton raised an eyebrow, "He's not usually rolling around at this time in the morning."
"Kitty woke up early to wish his teddy bear happy birthday." Red snuggled up facing Cotton,
"This is getting weird." Cotton laughed in response and turned onto his back, "I'm going to stop calling you 'kitty' now. Hopefully it won't get creepy then."
"Boo." Red pouted, burying his face into Cotton's shirt, "I think it'd make a good roleplay."
Cotton paused, "No." He said, sounding almost confused, "That's creepy."
"Don't you love your kitty?" Red asked, tugging gently on his shirt,
"I love kitties in a very different way to you." Cotton stated, then pat him on the head and sat up, "Are you actually hungry, or..?"
"Always." Red replied, sounding surprised he'd even asked, "You're not making breakfast today, are you?"
"I am unless you are..?"
"Funny joke, teddy." Red rolled over and somehow managed to pull the covers around himself as he did so, transforming into a cocoon with a pair of cat ears poking out the top. Cotton laughed sarcastically and swung his legs off the bed, then yawned and picked up his necklace. He paused just after fastening it behind his neck,
"If the kids are alright I might come back to bed for an hour." He said, mainly to himself. Red wriggled until his head popped out of the duvet-cocoon and opened his mouth to speak, "To sleep, I mean."
