Foxes are as interesting as the wildcats and ferrets in the Redwall universe, as foxes ACTUALLY started off as neutral beasts. Of course, the foxes that were in the beginning of the books all made terrible decisions and were seen as foebeasts of Redwall, but they did start off on a neutral stance.

Here comes Xu Huang, one of Wei's most loyal and perhaps the most GOODY-GOODY-TOO-SHOES that the kingdom has to offer. Xu Huang is a man of honor, of perilous might, but also, a man of good military understanding and isn't afraid to step on a few of his friends toes if given the order by his lord. Xu Huang fits the role of a fox, as they are strong and often have the wits to back it up as well.

I choice for making him a fox was simple enough. I chose to make him an Artic fox, though, because of the simple fact that Xu Huang as always wore white to distinguish his pure beliefs in being a warrior of might and honor (in his own right). I believe Artic foxes, or white foxes at least, appeared in the novel 'Rakkety Tam'...
