The affection scale in the game is weird, I favored Rosalyn for like only the first two bosses and then tried to favor Stan the rest of the game- end of game where you get the event for relationships I somehow got Rosalyn.
But the box is part of the game's main story line, and because she gets it things happen later that are good *is trying to avoid spoilers as much as possible*
