pretty cool designs, though the game itself makes me a bit uncomfortable with the big boobs and some of the clothing... again, armor that doesn't cover most of the vital organs and showing as much skin as possible. but still, I like your designs and class choices. C: and I like how you explained your choice for Ariel, especially the "true love" part put into quotation marks. sometimes I forget how problematic the Disney is...

Thank you! I tried to cover as much skin as I figured would make the character comfortable. I still wish I could have covered a bit more here and there, but, alas, only so much I can do. I think Tiana's is the one I'm most happy with. And maybe Ariel's because she spends much of her time wearing seashells and a tail anyway.
And, yes, I'm of the same opinion regarding the game. Rin's said that the "elf" species, when it comes out, will have a smaller bust, so that's good? Honestly, when I first saw the large bust, it freaked me out a bit. I've sort of numbed myself to it, though, since I've been spending so much time on it. XD Regarding the armour... Well, at least the boob plates are at a minimum? Boob plates absolutely infuriate me. I guess Rin's game is just following the logic of video games where armour is bad because it's big and bulky and doesn't let the character (male or female, but most commonly female) be sexy. MAGIC INVISIBLE FORCEFIELD STOPPING POINTY THINGS FROM PUNCTURING INTERNAL ORGANS. WHO NEEDS ARMOUR?
Oh, Disney, you and your problems. I will always have a soft spot for the mushy love-at-first-sight it spouts so much, but it is refreshing to see Tiana and Rapunzel to actually spend time beyond a shared song or dance with their respective love interests before "falling in love." And Merida. A princess whose character arc is defined by her relationship with her family and not the first guy she claps eyes on? Thank you, Pixar. Thank you so much.

Yes, I really like the Tiana one too~ She looks really great with a gun, too.
And all the games and movies (?) with men in full armor and women in... well, bikini armor, that really annoys me. Find me one game with women in full armor and men in weird pants/armor thingy and bare chest, come on. Like, you can totally see that the woman is there only for the joy of straight male audience. Lara Croft, for example, no one will ever convince me that she was created due to small amount of badass women and/or so female gamers could identify with a character looking like them.
Oh yes, Disney is problematic. I love the movies, I love the songs, I love the characters... but the sexism is still strong with it. The best Disney movies I can think of are Brave and Lilo & Stitch, and Disney is already fucking Merida up with its princess-ifying and making her look "more sexy" or whatever they meant to do. But the mother-daughter relationship in Brave, princess who follows her own dreams instead of becoming dependent on random male character she "falls in love with" or gets forced to marry... Yep, I liked Brave. And Tangled was cool, though frankly I'd rather see Rapunzel actually fight with the frying pan (or something else, because frying pans remind me too much of the women in kitchen "jokes").

Yay~
If you find something like that, please tell me. It might exist in some free, indie game or movie somewhere, but I doubt mass media would even consider that for a second. Maybe you've seen collegehumor's "Female Armour Sucks" video. If you haven't, you definitely should. It's absolutely hilarious and makes a big, excellent point. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTGh0E… Fire Emblem is a great example of how to do fantasy armour right: the female characters all have the same amount of armour as their male counterparts. And, at least up until the latest game, the amount of skin shown fits with the character's personality.
I'm sort of tentatively looking forward to "Frozen" (which is coming out in November, I think?) seeing as Disney's been taking tentative baby-steps forward regarding portrayal of their female characters. But, yes, they need to get their damn grubby fingers away from Merida already. Give her back her waistline and unruly hair and makeup or whatever it is they did to her face.
