Description
Here's some production work I did on D.I.C.E.'s toyline. These characters were already developed, and based on the cartoon that's currently airing. I was hired to come in and draw the already established characters into new dynamic poses, with a twist of "cheeks".
Remember all those poses I had done? They were for this project.Hope ya'll digs!

Shame Bandai America only seem to be able to copy working existing concepts from Bandai Japan.
DICE is part Kamen Rider, part Machine Robo Rescue, part transforming dinosaurs ala Zyuranger/original Power Rangers.
Well...atleast it isn't anouther "Mystic Knights Of Tir Na-Nog".

I like the amount of detail on these guys. Your work is usually simpler- obviously that was affected in this drawing by the designs that you had to follow for these pre-existing characters. But I think that enhanced the work. I'd like to see more that kind of detail.
Not that I'm obsessed with all those noodle-y details that are so fashionable in comic art since the last decade. I generally like the simplicity of your drawings, but It gives them a little bit of weight and solidity (where as your characters are usually so open and light), and when combined with your great energetic poses- makes for a dynamite combination! It's just the right balance.

whoa! thank you very very very much! glad you like it because I am wrapping up a new backcover, which has more detail in it than i normally draw. i cannot say what it's or yet because it's a big surprise! just to give you more of a heads up... it's coming out in the next issue....

totally awesome man! i find technological drawings really hard to do, and can't do them off-hand unless i research stuff. that was pointless...what i ment to say was great poses man!

Cheeks and robots... a perfect combination. Awesome work. I love your style. The only thing I don't really like is the pose of the robot on the right... it looks good, but it doesn't look very dynamic. It makes me think he's driving in the air. But other than that, fantastic work.
