I dont think its a fail. Its a beautiful drawing, although to make it a bit better you can make her gold the rose, as opposed to making the rose "grow" out of her hand?
But i lov ethe detail you put into it, both the flower and the girl. Very nice work!

Draw a hand holding the rose between thumb and index finger, with the rose's "body" being turned towards the viewer.
This way you only have to redraw the hand
