My hubby got me a tablet for my birthday. YEAH BABY!!! So this is the result. Something that would have taken me months, finished in one day. Started it with a mouse, finished with my new TABLET!!!

I like the purple tones of her hair and the dress. 
Her skin is too yellowish, it's pretty hard to paint a proper skintone on a violet background

How did you make those roses so full and shiny? They look fresh and just picked, I've always wanted roses like that! T.T
I really like the tender colours, this is like straight from those "how to draw"- magazines where they tell which colours go with others.
Hooray for tablet, me want one too! Now you can get all crazy draeing more deep eyes and shiny hair! (I have a crush on all the eyes you draw so please make more pretty pictures!)

Thank you so much! Yeah, I the tablet. It really helps because the mouse made my hand cramp up so. I'm so glad you like the eyes! I didn't draw this myself, but I had lots of fun coloring it and eyes are always one of my favorite parts to do. I did the roses pretty much like I would do them with my pencils. I just chose a really light pinkish red for the highlights, a basic red for the mid-tones and a really dark red for the shadows and just colored it in. Want to know something? The roses were actually completed with the mouse. I started coloring this before my husband got the the tablet and the roses were the first thing I finished. The roses took me about a week to do, working on them bit by bit. Once I got the tablet, I finished the rest of the picture in a day! LOL!
