actually, this got me curious, rather than relying on a 21 year old memory I actually looked up a list of the episodes according to their air dates (your list was in production order.)Β In air date order Lovesick Sonic was #8, but the Little Merhog is listed as #60, even closer to the end than your list said.Β Hmm...I can only guess that I missed the first few episodes including the Breezy one when I started watching the show, and they played the episodes like a conveyor belt back then, when they ran through in 3 months or so they'd go back to the beginning and play them back in order.Β That could explain why I saw The Little Merhog before Lovesick Sonic.Β Such a mistake is somewhat understandable considering the last episode (Hero of the Year) is nothing special.Β Well it is a sort of reflection episode where they do a sort of roast/clipshow thing but it doesn't END like a final episode.Β BTW, the air date list I looked up is here: epguides.com/SonictheHedgehog_β¦

I actually never knew the episode numbers, but I watched that cartoon during its original run and saw every episode in order, the Merhog episode aired on TV before Lovesick Sonic, which is really weird seeing how it's apparently episode 56, which SHOULD put it near the end of the rotation in the 65 episode series.Β I can't even say they were aired out of order because there WAS a story arc in that series, for example Breezy falling in love with Robotnik Jr. and the 4 part chaos emerald epic...Of course The Little Merhog is one of those episodes that isn't part of the overall arc so it can theoretically be put anywhere.
BTW, 65 episodes for a single season, didn't CR say something about mainlining a ton of crack for that kind of output?

It was made for syndication so the broadcast would vary, it's also why there were 65 episodes, as that met the minimum length of time needed or something like that.
