Well u can get books that outline how, but for me, the only real difference is you have to careful because its almost impossible to erase. I prefer charcoal because of its darkness and its shadowing capability.

wow...this is amazing! hey got a question i want to trydrawing with charcoal but i normally draw with pencil how do i draw with charcoal? like do you need to draw differently? is there some tutorials on it by chance?
