Theskin tones are so amazing I want to cry. Do you use reference for the skin or just the pose?

mostly just the pose - my reference wasn't shot in the right lighting conditions and was rather flat, as photos tend to be. I wanted a lot of bounced and illuminated light from the environment so I make that up as I go - I exaggerate colors wildly

This handsome specimen spans my two monitors! I must say, you've managed to add subtle hints of sexiness (better viewed up close!) to this man without making him a sexual piece all around - it's classic in its beauty. I probably make no sense so I'll just sum it up by saying that the closeup is a real treat. (My husband is rolling his eyes at his computer next to me as I look my fill, har har).

Good idea posting this, I didn't notice the light amount of stubble on his chin before, it's kinda like how I let mine slide for a few days in between shaving, especially when I'm not going anywhere, which is almost all the time
