(Little interruption in my Blue and White deviations o/ it will last 3 deviations or so).Gift art featuring Sakki the demon boy, playing the gargoyle above the heart of the city...
What city? I have no idea, some city with monuments and churches, which must be describing most big European cities...
... went a bit experimental on drawing angles from usual, learning new stuff along the waaay....

C'est pas mon persos aussi et il est plutôt imberbe xD en plus pour dessiner les poils de barbe j'ai un peu de mal à doser

It only took me a million years to log on after an awesome hiatus, ha!
Anyway, I am still blown away by the amount of patience you poured into the image! The ambiance, the faint wisps of fog to the buildings and the raindrops are so well done. Pretty much feel you've pretty much caught Sakki's entire 'self' right there!

Hiatus : an important part of life!
Glad I've caught the character well, I wanted to make a more detailed background but... my patience failed me there, I must have not planned the background properly xD but well, that's satisfying enough o/ Especially if it's In Character and you appreciate it.

Oh no, I think the background is fine; any more detailed and it may have detracted from the character. And it would have undoubtedly made it look more complicated than you may have intended it to be (unless...you wanted it to be that way)

I keep on having some hiatus but some are not voluntarily xD Like the current one!
It was supposed to be super complicated at first until I thought it was a bad idea, and the image was also supposed to look way less colourful until, as usual, I changed my mind in the middle, and paf, added colours!

I don't know where to start, but definitely you never stop to innovate on your pictures. The viewing angle and the layout for sure feel fresh and I could tell it from the early sketch, also his pose (which while being a simple crouch, I don't think I have seen you doing this type before, derpderp unimportant detail but it still caught my attention)

At least it shows I'm evolving, which is definitely a good thing o/ And I'm definitely more at ease with painting and backgrounds by now...
(Nah, I don't think I've ever drawn that kind of pose... for no peculiar reason even, I have a few chars that could really stand this way o_o ).
