Description
Dinosaurs are a rare sight in the world of Ziiga at large, many populations numbering only a few dozen individuals at most. Centuries ago they were the dominating species on the planet, but a catastrophic incident decimated their numbers and allowed for the mammalian population to gain footing and spreading fast, stifling and crushing any possibility for the dinosaurs to recover. Through the decades they have been subjected to genocide, persecution, and are in many places still systematically murdered, removed, shunned, or oppressed by mammals and other dominant species groups.

Theropod dinosaurs in particular have been subjected to a terrible reputation of being the most vicious animals on the planet - this has lead to a widespread and unfair belief among other animals that all of them are uncontrollable killers, and they carry this stigma almost wherever they go.

On the island of Ziiga, by nature of being a touristy, transient space where people come and go fast and freely, the attitude towards dinosaurs is generally more relaxed in comparison to many other places, however this does not mean that things are good. This means a carnivorous dinosaur won't get run out of town instantly or be killed by an angry mob if caught alone, but they will be harassed by strangers, have difficulty acquiring a job or a place to live, and might be denied service in any establishment.
