Personality:Nala is very very strong willed never giving up if she really wants somthing shes going to get it no matter how hard it is to do. Whilst this is a trait that has some benefits it can also make her hard to work with in some contexts as she comes across as stubborn. Despite this annoying tendency she is always respectful of anyone her superiors word willig to set aside her beliefs to keep the peace and remain loyal. However if she loses respect for any authority her willingness to comply and bend her opinions for the benefit of others is shattered. Nala is independent; she doesn't rely on others to get her what she needs; however, she still greatly enjoys the company of other canids once she comes to trust them. At first Nala often comes off as cold and even standoffish at first meeting not being willing to trust or open up to any canid she isn't familiar with. She often becomes slightly paranoid around new candids whether afraid of the threat of them or something else entirely but once she begins to trust those around her this fades, still being alert but not obsessively so. She is rather kept to herself by nature, being very introverted and preferring not to show an overly large amount of what she feels. This doesn't mean she comes off robotic or emotionless; she often puts on a facade masking her true feelings. Loyalty is one of Nala’s best qualities; she is willing to give her life for those she truly cares about or respects. She always keeps her word if she says shes going to do something she does it rarely overstepping herability’s and when she does she refuses to back down, making her very dependable and trustworthy. Although nala lives far from the farm now she had grown used to the way of living she lived for the purpose working gave for and even as a puppy understood nothing is free you must work for everything even essentials like food this view still remains. Nala has a constant need to feel as though she has purpose, wanting something to feel needed. Despite this working ethic Nala is very patient and in the right environment a very relaxed and calm dog
Strengths: patient, strong willed, loyal, dutiful, dependable, relaxed, independant, keeps her word
Weaknesses: untrusting, withdrawn, introverted, paranoid, stubborn, standoffish
Pre-group history:Nala was born onto a cattle farm, from a line of purebred St Miguel cattle dogs and quickly purchased by a sheep farmer to be trained to herd his flock. The farmer had not researched the breed he just knew it could herd and liked how it looked so he made the impulsive decision to get one. He came to regret that decision once Nala was old enough to begin herding she was too rough leaving bites and other injuries on the sheep her took her out herding less and less giving up on using her as a working dog he left her locked in the kennel for long hours of the day rarely letting her out and when he did she was kept on a short chain. This lack of entertainment and stimulation had led her to grow increasingly aggressive and hard to handle. The only interaction with the man she had was the hand the chucked food in her kennel every other day. She didn't even have the luxury of a bowl. With her increasing aggression the farmer feared she'd hurt his children or kill the chickens which she had done before all she could do to pass time was catch rats and watch the world pass by. She longed to be free, she felt like she was going crazy cooped up all this time. Nala waited patiently for an opportunity to gain her freedom and sure enough one came. One of the children had brought their friend over and unaware of Nala’s behavioral issues opened her kennel and went in to pet her while she slept. Before the childs hand had even touched her she spun around biting their arm and bolting out under their legs through the open kennel door. She sprinted full throttle and jumped the low farm fence. She didn't stop running until she reached the city she would have to make herself a new life in this world entirely new to her.
