A school project where we designed 3 separate characters.Bubu is the sidekick.
Bubu's species is considered livestock in some planets, and he lived a large portion of his life in a meat plant as such. That was until Meph, the protagonist in this assignment, literally blew up half the facility and freed a bunch of these guys. With nowhere left to go, he followed Meph and gave himself the name 'Bubu'.
Super sweet guy, but incredibly traumatized. Evidently.
