I find myself in agreement with all the comments below mine, it is truly a mesmerizing piece of art, an image that immediately draws your attention and then proceeds in keeping it engaged with its every detail. There are focus points in various depths allowing you to "rediscover' the image every time you pose your gaze upon it. The change in perspectives that it grants a delight for one's eyes.
Still there is one thing that has me perplexed.
The sheen at his head where the skin shows underneath keeps drawing my eyes and makes me wonder why it was painted like this and why is the skin underneath of the same tone as the rest of his skin? If he is balding, then that makes sense.
If it is some type of luster then a subtle change in tone, so as not confuse it with the skin might have been for the best.

What caught me first was his eyes. Secondly, I like snakes, so the scales..i hope those are scales right?...in the background was lovely. Made me feel both warm inside and a little creeped out just thinking about how those would feel against my skin. Thank you for that visual and physical reaction to your art. nicely done.

Where do I start with this gorgeous piece? Oh, how I adore your personal work and look forward
to each new piece you upload of it. From the little passage, that stirs thought and curiosity to my gaze
upon this piece I am immersed. This is something that rarely happens for me, but I find myself
always within your works.
The piercing gaze, the expression of contemplation, vexation, a mind in motion as he holds the object.
The coiled serpents, the cold overtones around light, there is much symbolism within this piece whether
purposeful or not. It's what I adore about your works, their ability to tell stories within themselves.
A picture is worth a thousand words...and I could very well write more than that, you created another
gorgeous piece dear friend.
