Description I've done some full body drawings in the past and called them anatomy studies. But I've kind of avoided drawing nudes

I think you can tell that wen I got to the legs area, I kind of lost interest and rushed. So, try to ignore the pure awfulness of the legs...And the arms, too '

Reference is from Anatomy for the Artist. Please give me critique if you can, because I'm obviously a novice when it comes to anatomy, and I really do want to get better.

Looks brilliant, why'd you scrap it? If anything the middle looks a bit small in comparison to legs, but then I'm no expert on anatomy either Very nice work

wow, considering you're new to figure studies like these, you're doing a great job! I'm really impressed with the contrast in shading.

Going off what others have said--hip area definitely too narrow. Not only that, but the area where the right leg meets up with the hip needs to be defined--right now it's simply not there. The belly button is placed a bit too low (right now it's level with where the curve of the top of the right leg starts, and it should be a little higher). He doesn't have much of a butt, either--we should be able to see a little of it at this angle, but right now it looks like the back of the legs just connect directly to the hip with no butt in between.

Hope this helps!

Ah well, everybody stole my answer But you may want to shape out the big thigh a bit, to show he has bones.
I admire you for doing so- if I draw nude all I'm going to hear is "omg she's drawing porn!!!!!!" -.-

I'm not an expert or anything either, but just eyeballing it, it seems like the hip/stomach area is too thin - I know that men have a slimmer hip area than women do, but this seems to thin in proportion to the rest of the body. The space between where the leg starts and the knee might be a little too short, but it's hard to tell - leg sizes are very hard for me and I usually end up cheating by adding baggy clothes.

I dunno, his middle seems unusually skinny, and the whole angle of it is kinda skewed. If you look around the right arm area, it kinda seems like that arm is off-angle with the rest of his body, and it makes his chest look weird, but it could just be the way I'm looking at it. You're coming along though Just take your time with the next one and make it flow. That is all... *vanishes in a puff of smoke*
