Description
The Wormhole Gate once allowed instantaneous travel between Divaajin and Earth and other Earth colonies, but one day it simply stopped functioning. All attempts to activate the gate from the Divaajin side failed, leading many to speculate that a catastrophic event had destroyed the wormhole network that once connected all the major inhabited worlds. Travelling by conventional means was possible but, even at the speed of light, it would take generations to reach the nearest populated system.

Without support from Earth, the fledgling colony collapsed. Warlords and petty tyrants emerged, fighting each other instead of working together to survive. Warfare and starvation pushed the human population to the brink of extinction. It was only with help from the indigenous inhabitants, the Togoon Aalz, that a few pockets of humanity made it through the dark days following the collapse. Isolated from the rest of the galaxy, the people of Divaajin regressed culturally and technologically.

The population fragmented into clannish regional groups dominated by warrior societies and feudal lords. The surviving advanced technological devices were jealously guarded and reserved for those in power. The once-thriving settlements became fortified strongholds, while the majority of the population lived in rural communities, eking out a meagre existence from the land.

Centuries later, in the heart of the Ulaan Tsöl desert, the Wormhole Gate waits patiently. Within its massive structure, weathered by time and sand, lies the promise of reconnection, a chance to bridge the void between worlds and restore the shattered wormhole network that once united humanity.
